Care instructions

Before and after your period
Use our Ruby Sterilizer to clean your cup. Simply fill your Ruby Sterilizer with water, add your Ruby Cup and microwave for 3-5 minutes (or put in a pot of boiling water.

During your period
Empty your cup,rinse under clean running water, reinsert and go! In a public toilet, use abottle of water to rinse your cup over the toilet. Or wipe clean with dry ordamp toilet paper, then reinsert.

Wear. Rinse. Repeat. Simple!

At the end of your period
Sterilize your cup again using your Ruby Sterilizer, make sure it’s completely dry (air drying is totally fine) before storing.

Return your products within 30 days of receiving them

Make sure they’re unopened, in original condition, with
tags still attached (where applicable)

For bundles: You can try on one item, but the rest must
stay unopened. Send the whole pack back together – no individual returns
from a bundle please!

How to use

  • Step 1
    Sterilize your Ruby Cup in our Ruby Sterilizer before folding and inserting. Fold and insert your Ruby Cup. There are lots of ways to fold your cup – try them out and find the one that works best for you
  • Step 2
    Remove your cup, pour the contents in the toilet, rinse with water or wipe with toilet tissue before inserting again. You can wear your Ruby Cup for up to 12 hours, depending on your flow
  • Step 3
    Strengthen your pelvic floor muscles with our Ruby Kegel Trainer and exercises.

How do I use the Ruby Sterilizer?

Here's how to use your Ruby Sterilizer:

Put your Ruby Cup inside the Ruby Sterilizer, fill with water until it’s about 3⁄4 full and place it in the microwave.
Make sure you do not close the lid completely as that will increase the
pressure from the boiling water and can make it overflow.
Set the microwave time to approximately 3 minutes or enough time to bring the water to a boil and leave it boiling for a few minutes.
After it is boiled, be careful as it can be hot. Grab it by the ears when you remove it from the microwave.
Let the water cool down a bit before you empty it and take out Ruby Cup, which is now disinfected and ready for your next period.
No matter where you decide to use the Ruby Sterilizer, please make sure to leave the lid open to create a steam hole.

I have two or more Ruby Cups, can I boil them in the Ruby Sterilizer at the same time?

No, you have to boil them one after the other to ensure both of them are disinfected and that you can handle them safely after the boiling process.

How do I set the Microwave for the Ruby Sterilizer?

That depends a little on your microwave. You may need to experiment until you find the right settings which will boil your cup inside the Ruby Sterilizer without overflowing too much. However, in most cases, a little water will flow out of the Sterilizer and this is normal.

Is the Ruby Sterilizer vegan?

Yes! Our colorful range of Ruby Sterilizers are all registered with the Vegan Society. This means they don’t contain any animal-derived ingredients and the products or materials haven’t been tested on animals. Period.
